What are you doing now? Reliving my xc memories by continuing to be the editor for the team's website. Going to school, working, organizing the Petaluma Footrace and helping Ian coach our new youth running club.
What is your favorite memory? Watching Coach T improve throwing the cow chip, running soup, bus rides, wet floor signs, the 2 times coach ever blew his top, and many more things...

What are you doing now? Working for Cal Poly Athletics in media relations and assistant coaching for their track team.
What is your favorite memory? Bowls of soup on Manor Lane and playing football before practice with the Wheeler's, Ian, Steve and Mike.
Anything else? I'd like to give a shout out to my cousin Robbie Dibble who is currently running for the cross country squad!

Andrew Wheeler- Graduated in 2004, ran Track and Cross Country.

Education: SRJC- AA in University Transfer, UCLA- working towards a BA in Political Science
What are you doing now? Attending UCLA and working towards my degree, looking at possibly going to grad school. Possibly wrestling for their club team and coaching at a local high school.
What is your favorite memory? Winning SCL not once, but twice; that big freggin hill at Cowchip; rolling down the big hill at Stanford; seeing Coach Triola's reaction after we won our first tri-meet; and all the good times with team mates.
Anything else? A couple things: 1) it's hard to be humble when you're undefeated. 2) those "hills... they're really just speed bumps.

What are you doing now? I am in the united states army and have been in for four years now. I am leaving fo my second tour in iraq. I love my job and love the army. I am about to be promoted oh and i just re-uped for another.
What is your favorite memory? Soup would have to be the first on my list but every day was a blast. nothing like running with mike "bercher", mean mile messier, inman, the wheeler bros,chris, my hero brett and that guy who was always broken steve nash.oh and we cant forget the highlight of everybodys day asthon and amber lesiure and jen

What is your favorite memory? Hopping over the tree at BB ranch just before the finish line my freshman year and passing another runner as I did so.

What are you doing now? I'm a frosh at ucsb, majoring in English.
What is your favorite memory? I will never forget the water fights Ana Garcia and I had with Stephen Ashlock. Or ultimate frisbee (I think that scarred me for life.) Oh! or the way Matt Kearny ran (hahaha) Or when nichole got lost. Or the songs (all the songs) Ashton would sing on the ride home. Or the freeballas (ew.) Or when Becker jumped coach's car (hahahaha) Or when Cassie got bit by a snake. Or the slackers. Or when coach frisbee tossed a cow-pie. Or slurpee runs (what happened to those?) Or every single person that has ever ran xc. Can I edit this? There are too many..
Anything else? Thanks coach Triola for doing everything from shaving CGXC into your head to making cool music videos every year; to putting up with so much bs whining and excuses, to being there to support us no matter what. You're an awesome coach and a kick ass human being! yay you!!!
and to all xc runners...running is a disease. you know i thought i'd stop running long distance for good once hs ended...but no...i feel horrible if i don't run forever at least once a week. just wait..it'll NEVER stop...

What are you doing now? I'm at UC Davis right now, majoring in Computer Engineering (for now). Other than classes, I've been hanging around, playing badminton here and there, studying, and enjoying the college experience.
What is your favorite memory? There were so many great memories from cross country, I don't even know where to begin. The runs were great, the whole experience was great, and all the fun times we had when we weren't running were great.

What are you doing now? UC Davis, double majoring in Music and Chemistry, running in my spare time, and I'm also playing keeper on an IM soccer team.
What is your favorite memory? The 7 hour car rides to and from Mt SAC, where Coach revealed many his quirky tendencies, such as his inability to eat an odd number of cookies in a single sitting, and the BOOOOOOOOOOOM 57 times in a row, and Kelly's inability to conjugate the verb "suck"; when coach invented points; sign slapping (what ever happened to that?); my first soup as a Freshman, where coach kept saying, "that's not the top there, and it's not up there either, no I'm not telling you how much farther we have to go".
Anything else? I remember we all agreed that it was cool that we had the only coach who ran with us on workouts.

What are you doing now? Going to sonoma state and transfering to chico in fall to study speech pathology
What is your favorite memory? WOW...so many...slurpee run....soup bowl....tell the freshman to ask coach for 8 bowls soup....mud fights...shireen getting in her hair:)..haha...car-hopping...meets and going to other teams tents..(sweatshirts:)...caution signs..bue rides...and of course WHOA!!!

What are you doing now? I was actice duty in the Army from 1993-2004 and now I am in the Air Force.
What is your favorite memory? There were so many, from running from the school to the fort and back with a brick in our hand (that is old school for you) to the fun times at meets with all the guys.
Anything else? If anyone can locate the two coaches from 87-89. Also any memebers from that era too. Does anyone still have meet records from then, I think I held the old beebe course and sonoma too. Thanks

What are you doing now?I work alot with kids & teens (coaching, teaching, summer camps, etc) and seek out fun & adventure whenever possible. But my main pursuit right now is starting up a business called Jungle Quest. It's an indoor adventure center with rock walls, zip lines, tarzan swings, and ropes courses. Coming soon to Petaluma, Marin County, and Solano County.
What is your favorite memory? Favorite things about XC... Bowls of soup, wet floor signs, and a great coach. Long live CGXC!
Anything else? I look forward to seeing new generations of young talent come up through the ranks and owe any success that I've had since graduating High School to this sport. Stick wit it!

What are you doing now? Busy as a full time student, vacationing and relaxing when i can, working occasionally
What is your favorite memory? having the coolest teammates and coaches ever, the '06 and '07 Mt SAC trip, the numerous and addictive blackberries on the way to soup, coaches countless pizza parties, slurpee runs, The stooges as coach labeled us, winning the red licorice sticks everytime I go to the offseason turkey leg relays, coaches facination with the pursuit championchips, all of our meets, the gaucho home course, Solomon (lol), orange cones, cow chips, hemp sac, The past alumni, Much Much much more
Anything else? Coach triola, hands down you been the greatest coach in all my history of coaches, So thank you for the great memories in the past four years of your coaching. Good luck in the future years with the future atheletes and congradulations with the new addition to your family. Your kids couldn't have asked for a better family to be born into.

Education: Willamette University, Exercise Science and Politics double major
What are you doing now? I am currently attending Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. I am on the cross country and track team here and I absolutely love it! I miss everyone back home but I must say, Oregon is beautiful and it is an awesome place to run. I was in Eugene last weekend and Hayward field is looking good :)
What is your favorite memory? That would be of course winning league two years in a row and being part of the 07 girls team that qualified for state! the only casa girls team to ever do that. <3 you girls what else...runs to soup, mikes mountain, Slurpee/smoothie runs, war paint when we ran at the ranch, the sombrero, all of the gaucho "gear", our pre-race cheer...all of high school xc was great
Anything else? Thanks for all the memories...coach triola, coach cologne you guys are the best! to all my teammates...run hard this season, repeat from last season and most of all run for yourself, run for your teammates and your school =)

What are you doing now? School, research, ultimate frisbee, cycling, climbing, backpacking, and of course the occasional run in the berkeley hills.
What is your favorite memory? First time Jacob H and I did that one loop named after that one guy (Colby Circuit?), practicing with mike becker and ashton lesieur (great runners, but slackers nonetheless), mike moses' first race when he sprinted out 50m in front of the pack at the start of the viking classic, coach triola's completely illogical point system, being called a "richard" as if it were an insult, coach T's music video season recaps.
Anything else? I'm extremely grateful to have had such an amazing coach. His voice still keeps me going when I feel like giving up. The faster you run, the faster you're done.
